If you want to enjoy it at this point, you should decant it. Also some days of the opening let him win!
Color
Deep black-red with minimal violet brightening towards the rim.
Nose
The 2013 Tros de Clos shows a lot of minerality on the nose and thus presents itself cool and complex. After a longer opening, intense herbal notes and the scent of blackberries, blueberries, rowan berries and cassis emerge. The spicy notes of cardamom, juniper and sandalwood add tension and give the wine an interesting oriental touch despite its Burgundian finesse.
Palate
On the palate, the 2013 Tros del Clos presents the same minerality as on the nose. The refreshing acidity and the fine-grained tannin structure make it incredibly elegant despite the opulent richness. The oak ageing disappears completely into the background and one simply gets the desire to enjoy this fine drop immediately. Nevertheless, it is worth to be patient, because experience shows that the almost 100-year-old Carignan vines need a few years of ripening.
