Nose
The Tokaji Furmint is a wine whose signature can be compared somewhat with that of a Première Trie of Huet can be compared. The cuvée opens with a complex nose of quince and pear, khaki and carambola, mirabelle plums and kumquats, but also with brioche, some dried honey and ginger, zest, malt and smoke. With air the Tokaji increasingly caramelly and somewhat lush, but at the same time more floral and complex.
Palate
On the palate the 2019s Furmint sec Slightly viscous, intense and juicy, but above all much drier, much more powerful and tense than the nose suggested. The discreet sweetness flashes up only sporadically and gives the Sec Charm. In addition to the citrus notes and the crunchy pome and stone fruit, a fine extract, a clear, supporting acidity and a slightly spicy, somewhat smoky appearing minerality appear here, which make the Furmint makes it appear extremely lively. This vitality combines with freshness and elegance to make an excellent Tokaij.
