Tasting note from dated 20.09.2020, Copyright Sebastian Bordthäuser

Terroir Historic is the entry-level line of Terroir al Limit. The wines do not need any maturity but are made for immediate enjoyment, even though they can easily be left to mature for two or three years. But since you have to drink something until the great wines of Terroir al Limit are ripe, there are Terroir Historic, which nevertheless have it in them. The Historic blanco is a blend of 75% Grenache blanco and 25% Macabeu from 35-50 year old vines grown in seven communes at an altitude of 350 to 680m above sea level on slate, granite, clay and alluvial soils. The whole clusters are trodden with feet in concrete and then begin alcoholic fermentation. Pressed with the horizontal pneumatic press, the concrete containers are then covered and the must becomes wine. This ancient style of white wine used to be called Brisat in Priorat and is the contemporary interpretation of this style.

Color

Mouth

The fruit shows its sloppy side on the palate and floods all taste levels. The acidity acts as a driving force and beats the drum properly. Creamy on the palate with fine phenolics and an animatingly grippy feel that causes gasps and makes you refill the goblet again and again.
