Nose

The Blanc de Blancs from the Terre de Vertus vineyard reveals a multi-faceted and complex nose. Discreet roasted aromas drift into toasted hazelnut, toasted brioche and shortbread. Butterscotch, tarte tatin, quince tart and all manner of fine pastries from classic patisserie as well as Christmas butter cookies leave their mark. And this is really where everyone can reminisce. The clear, chalky, linear in it is simply state of the art. Wood barrel fermentation of the Chardonnay gives it some substance on the nose. Accented by caramelized stone fruit, candied pineapple and lemon zest. White peach, fresh nashi pear. White flowers like jasmine as well as yellow flowers add some filigree to this outstanding nose.

Palate

This is an example of elegance, great craftsmanship and great Blanc de Blancs of Champagne. Uncompromisingly developed and filled without dosage. However, the Brut Nature is by no means hard, edgy or acidic. At first, it is characterized by a clear, dominant minerality. It carries the wine into the length and dominates the mouthfeel. The perlage is extremely fine and pearly on the tongue and the palate. For minutes, the resulting mousseaux has a tingling after-effect. Tangy, juicy and yet so linear at the same moment. The reverberating aroma lashes out towards lemon zest, yellow fruits as well as the buttery pastry and shortbread. Later, the intensity of the roasted flavors is omnipresent, but perfectly measured. Never exuberant, always grandiose in harmony with the other sensory components.
