Nose

The 2017 Zeitspiel 4.5 Weisser Burgunder Spätfüllung shows compact minerality and enormous depth. It definitely needs the carafe at the beginning, then the aromas of apple, ripe pear, lemon peel, elderberry and acacia blossom as well as nettle, sage, coriander, ginger, oyster shell and dried pastries emerge from under this intense carpet. What a compact, exciting Pinot Blanc.

Palate

On the palate, we discover great winemaking art: in addition to lots of fruit, we encounter a crystalline acidity, a fine tannin and an extremely skilful and at the same time subtle use of wood. With all its expression and power, this wine seems to almost float, which is underlined by the moderate alcohol of 12 vol%. Patience and the long fine yeast storage have paid off, the result is more than convincing. Classics of the cuisine are excellently placed here.

Decant and enjoy not too cold from large glasses.
