The wine is bright, light, juicy, fresh and above all punchy. The wine is all about the fruit, which, however, does not come along cold fermented, but has a tart and slightly sweet natural wine impact, reminiscent of hops and yeast.

Nose

Tattouine Rouge is one of those unusual cuvées from Tom Lubbe that combines red and grey berries. In this case it is Grenache noir and Grenache gris, which were fermented and aged together. The wine is all about the fruit, but it doesn't come across as cold fermented; instead, it has a tart and slightly sweet natural wine impact, reminiscent of hops and yeast. In the foreground there are peaches and red apples including skin, furthermore sour cherries and the sugary-fruity of Hitschler strawberry strings.

Palate

On the palate, the 2019 Tattouine Rouge of Matassa exactly what the nose has already promised. The wine is bright, light, juicy, fresh and above all punchy. This is pure drinking flow, which should be enjoyed slightly chilled. The tannin offers as much resistance as you'd find in orange wines, so it rubs lightly across the palate. The wine prances and awakens spirits with its tart red berry notes. Caution. There is a danger here of opening the second and third bottle after the first.
