Information
This wine represents a harmonious combination of two sites of Lake Neusiedl. On the one hand, it combines the striking mica-slate-glassy eastern slope of the Rosenberg, located in Breitenbrunn am Leithagebirge, and on the other hand, the gravelly vineyards of the Parndorfer Platte as well as the rich heather soil east of Lake Neusiedl.

Manufacturing process
In mid-September, the grapes were hand-picked and then subjected to natural fermentation. They were then left on the skins for a fortnight in both wooden fermentation racks and steel tanks. Careful pressing with the basket press and 26 months of ageing in amphorae, wooden fermentation racks and used 500 litre oak barrels, developed the full expressiveness of this wine.

Color
The wine presents itself in a deep cherry red, interspersed with violet reflections.

Scent
Heinrich's St. Laurent 2019 is dominated by an earthy and mineral character, balanced by a fine elegance. Subtle fruit aromas of redcurrant, young plum, wild raspberry and quince bread combine with notes of wild meadow herbs, wood smoke, cedar and white pepper, giving it an appealing wildness and at the same time seductive sophistication.

Taste
This wine is characterised by a taste experience that seems to float weightlessly over the tongue. Finest fruit, refreshing acidity and a hint of tannin enter into a perfect union with the mineral depth. With a moderate alcohol content of 11.5%, it not only awakens thirst, but also convinces with a lively and earthy style that makes Heinrich's wines so unique.

Alternatives to the food recommendations
For this wine pairing, you might consider:
- Smoked feta cheese on a salad with wild herbs and cherry tomatoes
- Serrano ham served with fresh fruit such as peaches or apricots
- Sea bass baked in a salt crust, accompanied by rosemary polenta.
