Color
Velvety dark cherry red with slight cloudiness and bright reflections
Nose
The nose is enormously clear for the grape variety and especially German clones. Besides the intense impressions of sweet and sour cherries at the same time, fully ripe strawberries and raspberries also show. The fruit is enormously appealing and intense in its intensity. A little undergrowth and forest floor, but above all pine cones and pine needles provide darker, tart and ethereal nuances. Juniper and a little red pepper add the appropriate spice.
Palate
With the first sip, it confirms the nose almost 11. The fruit dominates clearly and pleasantly. At the same time, it presents itself enormously cool, silky-taut and elegant. It appears in the glass as if wrapped in black velvet. It is appealing and in a nice way wonderfully unagitated. It is simply there and is what it is. Uncomplicated, with plenty of fruit and very good drinking flow. In the finish, too, the fruit comes out clearly. The acidity keeps shaping it and encourages you to take big sips.
