Albanello

Albanello Bianco is a white grape variety that originates from Italy, specifically Sicily and Calabria. This grape variety has been cultivated for centuries and was historically used to produce sweet, aromatic wines, sometimes in combination with other grape varieties.

Albanello Bianco is known for producing wines with good acidity and flavours that range from floral to fruity, often with hints of almond. It is also sometimes used in the production of Marsala wine, a fortified wine that also comes from Sicily.

Despite its historical presence in southern Italy, Albanello Bianco is not as well known or widely grown as some other Italian grape varieties, such as Trebbiano, but it has seen a resurgence of interest due to the general rise in popularity of indigenous and lesser known grape varieties.
