Wine information

90 % Grenache and 10 % Trepat are from soils with calcareous marl and slate weathering in the Serra de Montsant at 750 metres altitude. Early harvest, whole cluster fermentation in Tuscan amphorae and stainless steel, no added sulphur. Volatile acidity 0.55 g/l, sulphur 12 mg/l, pH 3.12.

Nose

The claim that this wine has, reveals itself already in the nose. It wants to offer drinking fluency with everything it has. The aroma is fresh and fragrant, reminiscent of pomegranates and wild cherries, grenadine, red currants, blood oranges and liquorice. Stone and soil resonate in the background and the freshness can be clearly sensed.

Mouth

And exactly this freshness can also be found in the Siuralta Rougewhich Arribas actually named French, because it seemed more French to him than Spanish. Who might he have been thinking of? Emmanuel Reynaud, perhaps, the grand master of Grenache? In any case, this variety, which is often called Pinot of the South, offers exactly this light and fresh juicy side. One should not underestimate the wine. It is playfully light at first, but it has substance, becomes more complex and dense with air, and the clayey-chalky texture coming from the amphora becomes more and more distinctive - a very pure and clear wine.
