Nose

Almost everybody associates the Rias Baixas with the Albariño grape variety. The fact that Attis and few others are also growing autochthonous red varieties is already an event. However, it is really a surprise to find small amounts of Pinot noir in these old vineyards, particularly when it smells as fresh and floral as it does in the Sitta Finca el Molinero. A juicy cool fruit of cranberries, blood orange, sour cherry and barberry combines with ripe raspberries as well as cherry blossoms and a breath violet.

Mouth

The palate also has this cool juiciness, as well as the iodine from the nearby sea. The wine is thoroughly fresh and clear, only the wood is currently still somewhat dominant, needs time to step into the second row. It rounds off the wine, creates structure, but also brings in parts of vanilla and oak that still want to integrate. Apart from that, this is a fascinatingly lively Pinot noir with a unique character of origin.
