Nose
The 2016 Sancerre rouge "Belle Dame" is an elegant seducer in the glass. Its fragrance beguiles with raspberry, raspberry syrup, sour cherries, freshly picked blackberries kissed by the sun and cassis. The fruity aroma is embedded in elder wood, juniper and boxwood. Leather, underbrush, fireside and cocoa notes hint at themselves and will catapult more to the fore with further maturity.
Palate
Coolness and freshness let it float, the fruit is pointed on the palate, the acidity exceedingly stimulating and the tannin fine-grained, as if sanded with sandpaper. An exceedingly lively Pinot with wonderful drinking flow, each sip tempts you to take another. A wonderful meditation wine that, with its elegant and silky nature, also likes to be paired with fine food.
Lightly chilled, it tastes best from a large Burgundy glass.
