Info about the wine
The neighbour of "Combe DesRoches" "La Bonnode" is a beautiful plot of 2 hectares, sloping eastwards at the foot of the Roche de Vergisson, clay and limestone in the subsoil. The view goes far over the Saone valley to Mont Blanc. The vines are surrounded by old hedges, are thus protected and isolated and can thus be worked biodynamically in the best possible way. The wines are fermented spontaneously, aged for 11 months in Piece and another six months in tank and are bottled without filtration.
Color Medium bright golden yellow.
Nose
The 2017 Saint Véran Climat "La Bonnode" beguiles with coolness and subtlety on the nose. Lots of stony notes, mussel shell, sea salt and flint, all very finely interwoven. With the necessary oxygen, it reveals its fruit of pear, apple, stalk of pineapple and lime.
Palate
It radiates a lot of freshness and cool clarity also at the palate, beguiling elegance determines its character and animates the palate and the senses. At the same time, it has a fascinating length. Freshness and puristic food preparations are trumps in the combination.
Recommendation
Enjoy decanted, not too cold from a large glass.
