Color:
Lightly muted straw yellow with golden reflections.
Nose:
The 2014 Saint Aubin 1er Cru "Sur le Sentier du Clou" needs oxygen to develop, with enough air it shows fine notes of yellow apple, honeydew melon, quince, orange zest, yeast, white bread crust and anise. A breath of sea breeze captures the fine and still somewhat restrained aromatics.
Palate:
The palate of the 2014 Saint Aubin 1er Cru "Sur le Sentier du Clou" is salty, incisive, mineral and still youthfully firm on the attack. Each sip excites the palate and the fine phenols give it tension and expression. It is best to leave it caraffed in the fridge for a few days and then enjoy it. Perfect wine for puristic dishes with shellfish, crustaceans and fish. Great storage potential!
Recommendation:
Be sure to decant and don't drink it too cold, a few days of opening will make it win.
