Info about the expansion
Handpicked, followed by five hours of gentle pressing and spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel.
Info about the situation
The planting was made with masal vines. The soil consists of stone-rich red sandstone in the upper horizon and heavy red clay in the subsoil. Reiterpfad is rather a warm and dry site, which only brings out its advantages,
if you work a lot on the ground. Species-rich greenery must burst the clay so that the roots find their way into the red clay, which can store water well.
Color
Medium golden yellow with clear green reflections.
Nose
The 2019 Riesling Reiterpfad is immediately present on the nose. Strikingly intense, it shows the two soils on which it was grown. With sufficient oxygen, vineyard peach, apple, orange and lemon verbena are added. Peppery, herbaceous, citrusy notes are subtly hinted at. Already on the nose, an exceptional drop that arouses curiosity.
Palate
This Riesling is a real delight, juicy and expansive, characterized by fine honey notes, without any residual sweetness. It demands, it lulls and it seduces not only to another sip, but to empty the bottle, best in combination with a cuisine that has the same intensity as itself.
