Color:
With a very subtle cloudiness, the wine presents itself in dark purple with an opaque core.
Nose:
The first nose of this cuvée of Blaufränkisch, Blue Wildbacher and Zweigelt is calm yet expressive. Dark berry notes suggesting tannic acid play the main role in terms of fruit. Cranberry and blackberry, as well as blueberry and cranberry. Everything the forest has to offer is added to this fruit: shells of walnut and hazelnut and beechnuts; the earthy scent of dry autumn leaves and a subtly resinous note of pine cones invite and make you want more.
Palate:
The 2010 red wine from Maria and Sepp Muster has also found its center on the palate. Soulful instead of effervescent, it combines dark berry full-bodiedness with low alcohol and delicate elegance. Its lively acidity and slightly drying astringency in the finish provide excitement and make it a musketeer of food accompaniment.
