Color:
The grape juice is naturally cloudy, but has a clear sheen with its purple colour and almost opaque core.
Nose:
The nose of the pasteurized direct juice from red organic grapes is fruit-laden and complex. Notes of sour cherries, plum compote, red apple, as well as red currants are aromatically combined with a blob of buttermilk. The Zweigelt juice gets its depth from earthy notes like rhubarb, sugar beet and sorrel.
Wonderfully inviting, this fragrance.
Palate:
The fruit appears clear and pronounced on the palate, yet so pleasantly creamy, as if it had once been swirled through butter caramel. A discreet and well-integrated acidity gives the dark Demeter juice necessary refreshment and balance. It is fruity-sweet and at the same time balanced and soothing.
Food recommendations by Peter Müller:
- Roasted duck liver with pepper-cherry compote and rosemary semolina slices
(Poultry, duck, offal, liverstone fruit)
- Piccata Milanese or something similar with a long reduced tomato sauce
(Meat, calf, fruiting vegetables (nightshade))
- Plum meringue pie
(Dessert, fruit, Tart, Cake)
