Info about the wine:
The Rosa Caolino consists mainly of Corinto Nero and a small portion of other autochthonous Sicilian grapes. The vineyards are located in the Lipari area at an altitude of about 350 meters on mineral-rich volcanic sand. Direct pressing of the grapes in a pneumatic press. Fermentation in stainless steel followed by bâtonnage for six months.
Color:
Intense salmon pink with clear orange reflections.
Nose:
The 2019 Rosa Caolina convinces with a compact aroma, which at first seems ethereal and spicy. Many Mediterranean herbs such as rosemary, thyme and juniper, but also tarragon and wild sage have an extremely beguiling effect on the nose. Caraffed it opens its fruit of vineyard peach, orange, red currant, wild raspberry and rhubarb.
Palate:
The palate is characterized by power and much spice. The fruit runs through juicy and flattering, but it is determined by its complex structure, which gives it a wonderful storage potential. A truly sophisticated rosé that enjoys the accompaniment of intense cuisine with herbs and spices.
