Information about the winery

In 2010, Luca Faccenda founded his winery in Valfaccenda, Piedmont. Currently, he only owns two hectares, but he has a long-term contract with his family, which has been cultivating vines in this valley between Canale and Cisterna for a long time. Faccenda grows his Nebbiolo and Arneis grape varieties on sandy soils. In 2014, he started with the organic certification.

Wine information

golden yellow with slight cloudiness

Luca Faccenda goes with his Roero a strictly clear path. His wines are becoming more and more "nature", as one can easily recognize by the aroma.

With its fresh, lively minerality, the fine juice and the light tannin, the wine creates a great drinking flow. Fruit, especially primary fruit, is less in the foreground here, but rather, as already in the aroma, a mixture of herbs, tea as well as slightly earthy and tobacco aromas. As a food companion, the wine scores with a playful lightness that seems earthy at the same time.

Food recommendations by Christoph Raffelt:

  • Vitello Heilbutto: Kalbfleisch, Creme vom Heilbutt und Kapern
