Info
Segna de Cor is based on Grenache Noir, Carignan and Syrah grown on slate soils in the Côtes de Catalanes.
Color
Brilliant purple, violet to bluish reflections
Nose
A cornucopia of dark, berry aromas pours out on the nose. Cassis, elderberry, blackberry and mulberry. Black cherry, fig and blueberry also find their place in this fruity round dance. Elderflower as well as violet and lilac draw soft features in its face. Juniper, green pepper and a hint of clove give it a special spiciness. Dark chocolate and fine nuances of mocha round it off darkly and harmoniously.
Palate
Like biting into a hand of fully ripe berries. So crisp and juicy at the same time. The fruit is pleasantly astringent and kept compact. The acidity builds up immediately and puts its stamp on the 2020 Segna de Cor. This makes it seem leaner, finer and shows plenty of finesse. The drinking flow is its greatest asset. Precisely crafted, not a gram of fat too much, perfectly harvested. Fruit can hardly taste purer in these latitudes.
