The palate seduces with very complex and opulent aromas of pineapple, apricot, quince, citrus fruits and spices. Carried by this minerality, aromas of citrus, green apple, elderflower, anise and ginger penetrate the nose, very playful and elegant this sweet Spätlese already appears in the nose.

Nose

The 2005 Riesling Schlossberg Vendages Tardives is at a stage where the minerality of the soil emerges beautifully. Carried by this minerality, aromas of citrus, green apple, elderflower, anise and ginger penetrate the nose, very playful and elegant, this sweet Spätlese already appears in the nose.

Palate

This elegance is also noticeable on the palate of the 2005 Riesling Schlossberg Vendages Tardives, the sweetness is very delicate and playful, accompanied by a stimulating and refreshing acidity. The long and refreshing aftertaste seems slightly salty and tempts you to drink another glass. Prepares great drinking pleasure in the current stage!

At the foot of the Schlossberg Grand Cru lies the Domaine Weinbach, surrounded by vines and roses. The vineyard is named after the small brook that flows through here and was built in 1612 by Capuchin monks. The domain Weinbach owns best sites in the famous Grand Cru vineyards Fürstentum, Mambourg and the Schlossberg, where exclusively Riesling is grown. This Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru Vendanges Tardives is a beautiful light golden color and presents scents of rose water, jasmine and pineapple. The palate seduces with very complex and opulent flavors of pineapple, apricot, quince, citrus and spice. It is a full-bodied and perfectly balanced wine with 70g of residual sugar and a pleasantly lively acidity. The pleasure ends in a long, fresh finish with flavours of citrus, minerals and a hint of salty minerality.
