Color
Straw yellow with bright reflections, radiant and clear.
Nose
With lush fruit of mango, ginger, apricots and smoky top notes it announces rich, bacchic pleasures. Orange, fully ripe pineapple and a little liquorice complete the round and with increasing aeration aromas appear which announce a mineral pleasure.
Mouth
On the palate, the 2015 Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru from Albert Mann is initially closed. It shows itself gripping with spicy notes of light tobacco, the extract sweetness garnished with a hint of anise, until the full orange broadside puts a few bars of citrus on the parquet. With enormous pressure and complex, closed structure at the palate it plays its cards only after sufficient aeration, three to five years of bottle maturity are warmly recommended.
