Color:
Light straw yellow with bright reflections.
Nose:
The typical Riesling nose emerges with some aeration, which the wine undoubtedly needs to develop all its charm. Initially hidden under a plump blanket of yeast, it slowly reveals aromas of peach, herbs and wet stones. Spicy flanked by culinary herbs, chubby yellow apples, quince and some wax show up and outline the varietal in soft pencil.
Mouth:
The 2018 Riesling from Forguerac is creamy on the nose with soft, almost cloudy fruit. On the palate, too, it has not yet fully shed its yeasty fat, but still has good grip and animating drinkability. Juicy with polished acidity and fine phenolic, it is a joyful drink for any occasion.
