Color
Light golden yellow.
Nose
The 2017 Marienburg Riesling "Fahrlay" Reserve is almost youthful and playful with fresh citrus, apple and peach notes. With sufficient oxygen, notes of ginger and lemon balm open up. In order for it to unfold in its full glory, it should be poured into a carafe with panache. Then it also reveals its finely spicy slate notes.
Palate
On the tongue, fruit, acidity and fine fruit sweetness intertwine wonderfully and it appears with great finesse and liveliness. A wonderful drop, which will show even more facets in the next few years.
If you want to enjoy it now, you should definitely open and decant it early.
