Info about the situation
The "Lene" of the Pfingstbach gives the name to this site, whose vineyards gently descend into the stream valley with a slight south-west slope. Fertile clayey loess is interspersed here with ferruginous red quartzite veins. "Eiserberg" was therefore an old vineyard name of Lenchen, referring to this geological peculiarity. The early mists of the Pfingstbach favour the spread of Botrytis Cinerea - ideal conditions for the creation of noble sweet wines.
Info about the expansion
Spontaneously fermented, matured in stainless steel tank
Color
Bright sparkling golden yellow with delicate green reflections
Nose
The 2019 Riesling Lenchen Kabinett appears earthy and mineral. Wild herbs, ginger and citrus notes are clearly recognisable. Delicate flinty notes and hints of iodine give it facet and play.
Palate
On the tongue, this Kabi captivates with a brilliant sweetness-acidity play, a fantastic fruit of citrus, vineyard peach and juicy pineapple. This in combination with a moderate alcohol of 10Vol% automatically triggers swallowing reflexes and the bottle empties faster than you can look. An upbeat partner to fine cuisine!
