Wine information

The so-called Le(h)ne of the Pfingstbach once gave the name to the Oestricher vineyard. The early mists of the flowing water, which is located at the foot of the vineyard, always caused early mists. This now spreads botrytis, which is why this site produces noble sweet Rieslings in particular, but also residually sweet Rieslings. In this Kabinett, however, there is no botrytis at all. The Kabinett was harvested with 82 º Oechsle and fermented spontaneously with up to 10 % alcohol. It has 34.5 grams of residual sugar with 8.6 grams of acidity. The wine was matured in stainless steel.

The scent of this cabinet, the Lenchen's, is very fine and restrained. There is some white pulp of pome and stone fruit, as well as a little ripe citrus, but everything is very discreet and as if spread on a bed of cream.


On the palate, acidity and sweetness are so finely woven, so interwoven, as if an experienced carpet weaver had accomplished a small masterpiece. There are also no violent rashes of fruit or ripeness here, everything remains bright, floating, prancing, fresh and clear. This is Riesling that you want to throw down, so much drinking fun it offers, but at the same time you want to get intensely involved with it, let it work, explore it. This cannot be resolved, but it makes the fascination of fruity-sweet Kabinett in general and the Lenchen's in particular.
