Nose
The Ganz Horn in the sunshine shows itself already talkative and open-hearted in the aromatics also in the youth. Citrus notes from zest to orange blossom cover the spectrum and are complemented by ripe apricots. Herbaceous notes of vervain and laurel outline the nose with fine tart notes, wet chalk and pebbles announce mineral profundity.
Mouth
The 2016 Ganzhorn im Sonnenschein from Ökonomierat Rebholz is focused, straightforward and taut on the palate. No superficial fruit is clamoring for attention here, everything is very tidy. The citrus notes of the nose are mirrored on the palate and combined with the ripe acidity give it tremendous length. In the middle of the palate, it quickly builds up enormous pressure and thus, despite its deceptive finesse, lays the cards on the table Here is substantial wine with a future in the goblet, which now belongs to be caraffed for at least one day, but better for at least five years in the cellar.
