Info about the situation
FERUS is a single vineyard cuvée with grapes from the best vineyards Reiterpfad, Mäushöhle,
Herrgottsacker and an old parcel from 1982 in the Ruppertsberg Nussbien.
Color
Shimmering lemon yellow with delicate lightenings.
Nose
Freshness defines the 2018 Ferus, which comes up with green apple, citrus and lime. With a little oxygen, grapefruit, fresh ginger, basil and lemon balm take the stage, as well as a hint of white pepper and fresh chervil. An incredibly complex and exciting Riesling with complexity and depth, which demands oxygen contact - so off into the carafe with him.
Palate
It moves over the tongue with citrus fruit, salty impression and fine phenolic, which reminds of the zest of a grapefruit. A still youthful but already very stimulating drop with a beautiful mid-palate and a stimulating, long finish. Patience is required, further maturity will suit it excellently. A real long-distance runner. Bravo, Michael Andres!
