Information about wine
The farm is located in the Reiterpfad opposite Ruppertsberg and next to Deidesheim. The historic site is characterized by a soil of red sandstone rubble in an east-southeast sloping terrace. The Hofstück is the warmest vineyard of the Christmann winery.
Color
intense citrus straw yellow
Nose
The Reiterpfad courtyard property is a sun-drenched location. And yet the 2019 Riesling like already his year's predecessor almost cool and smoky. Besides the slightly citrusy notes, one finds a little yeast and white-fleshed fruit. Underneath it is chalky and mineral.
Palate
On the palate the Riesling Equestrian Trail Courtyard Piece juicy with that white-fleshed fruit already mentioned. Otherwise, though, this is a textural wine with a grippy mouthfeel and animating acidity, salinity and minerality. The foreboding fruit alternates between citrus, apples and mirabelles on the finish, the mouth is lined with a light creaminess, and the acidity provides precision and pressure to the end.
