Info about the wine
The VDP.GUTSWEINE are a meticulous selection of grapes grown in the vineyards along the Rhine. Five different wine villages, five different soil types have given rise to the Latin term QVINTERRA.® inspired. The estate wines are harvested by hand, strictly selected, spontaneously fermented, aged in large old double barrels and stainless steel tanks and finally left "sur lie" until well into spring.
Color
Brilliant golden yellow with clear green reflections.
Nose
What an aroma flows towards us - matchstick, nettle, wild mint and blackcurrant, papaya and grapefruit. With oxygen gooseberry joins in, green pepper and wild mint. A fresh, green and incredibly animating fragrance.
Palate
Salty, precise and striking, the 2020 Qvinterra Scheurebe moves across the tongue, fine lime notes combine with a salty impression and stimulating acidity. A perfect aperitif and companion to a cuisine dominated by freshness and herbs.
