Info about the wine
The VDP.GUTSWEINE are a meticulous selection of grapes grown in the vineyards along the Rhine. Five different wine villages, five different soil types have given rise to the Latin term QVINTERRA.® inspired. The estate wines are harvested by hand, strictly selected, spontaneously fermented, aged in large old double barrels and stainless steel tanks and finally left "sur lie" until well into spring.
Color
Brilliant golden yellow with clear green reflections.
Nose
Its typical smoky, mineral fragrance continues to show on the nose of the Qvinterra Riesling in 2020. With oxygen, lime tossed in salt, mango, passion fruit, green apple and ginger join in. Wild raspberry and cassis notes animate the first sip alongside wild mint and nettle.
Palate
For a Gutsriesling it shows itself as usual incredibly complex, dense fruit flirts with earthy note and salty length. A wonderful wine to enjoy solo and especially with food, earthy, spicy, down-to-earth and at the same time rich in finesse, like itself!
