Info about the wine
The 35 to 50-year-old vines grow on two hectares at an altitude of 23 meters. After manual harvest and whole grape pressing, 80 percent were vinified in steel tanks and 20 percent in 228-liter pieces for a total of eleven months. The wine was bottled without fining and filtration.
Color
Bright, muted golden yellow.
Nose
The 2018 Pouilly-Vinzelles smells intensely of citrus, apple, orange zest, bright red berries, wet stones and delicate vegetal notes that suggest lemongrass, dried ginger, tree bark and fennel. A hint of saffron subtly resonates.
Palate
Refreshing, discreetly provocative and extremely stimulating, it presents itself on the palate. Its accentuated acidity and the fine tannins are coated by a lot of fruit melting and a fine fruit sweetness. A Burgundy, equipped with fullness and precision, which appreciates citric and delicately tart influences in the wine food accompaniment. Burgundian drinking pleasure for little money!
Enjoy not too cold from a large glass.
