Out of stock

The 2017 Pommard shows a lot of stony and smoky minerality when freshly poured, which, with a little oxygen contact, combines wonderfully with the prominent fruit notes of fresh raspberry, plum and blackcurrant. - The different plots total 1 ha and were planted in different periods in 1947, 1983, 1988 and 1999 at an altitude of 270, 330, 353 and 362 m in east and north orientation.

situational information

The different plots total 1 ha and were planted in different periods in 1947, 1983, 1988 and 1999 at an altitude of 270, 330, 353 and 362 m in east and north orientation.

Terroir

Pommard Les Famines is a cuvée from different parcels. The smallest part is on the "Croix Planet", where the wines present themselves a little fatter and fuller, the vines of "Vaumuriens" and "Vignots" are old and contribute delicacy and structure, the share from the plot "La Vache" gives minerality.

Information on the expansion

Hand harvest with a yield of 36-40 hl/ha, fermentation in barriques for 12-15 months, of which 5 % new, 4150 bottles total production.

Color

Muted ruby red with delicate violet reflections.

Nose

Freshly poured, the 2017 Pommard shows a lot of stony and smoky minerality, which, with a little oxygen contact, combines wonderfully with the prominent fruit notes of fresh raspberry, plum and blackcurrant. Delicate pepper and cinnamon notes and earthy hints as well as leather flavours give it a compact touch and refer to its youth at the same time.

Palate

On the tongue it presents itself charming and juicy and conveys a subtle fruit sweetness. At the same time, it has a refreshing effect and, due to its youth, still has a demanding tannin, which combines with the stony notes of the nose. A classic Pommard with storage potential that appreciates the original French cuisine.
