Tasting note from from 23.09.2016, Copyright Christina Hilker

Color:

Muted ruby red with clear violet reflections.

Nose:

The 2014 Pommard is a single pour with plenty of dark fruit reminiscent of fully ripe sour cherries, blackberries and blackcurrants, freshly harvested while still warm from the sun. Aromas of dark earth, truffle and freshly cracked black pepper give it a masculine edge. The complex aroma is accompanied by a compact, smoky minerality and a hint of cinnamon and clove, but fine violet notes also highlight its feminine character.

Palate:

On the tongue, the 2014 Pommard is fruity, youthful and demanding. Its tannin and acid structure pleasantly occupies the tongue and seems polished and rounded at the same time. The juicy and animating fruit plays around the whole beautifully.
The spicy aftertaste makes you want to try a cuisine with fruity and earthy hints.
