President Charles de Gaulle was a welcome guest at the Domaine Weinbach. He even invited state guests to this dignified wine estate founded in 1612 around Kayserberg in the rock garden of the former Capuchin monastery. The monks had been cultivating wine here as early as in 890 and named the wine estate after the small brook flowing through the rock garden. After the death of the legendary wine visionary Théo Faller, his wife Colette took over the winery, which she still runs today with her two daughters Catherine and Laurence. Under her aegis, the worldwide reputation has continued unwaveringly and the Domaine has cult status among many wine connoisseurs and wine lovers thanks to its characterful and elegant wines.
