Color
A lively garnet red sparkles, interspersed with violet accents.
Aroma
The 2019 Pinot Noir from Albert Mann beguiles the senses. Sweet-tart wild raspberries, juicy sour cherries, a hint of warm blackberry pie, vanilla and melting milk chocolate merge with notes of graphite, wild rosemary, mint and dark flowers. On contact with oxygen, notes of smoke and earth emerge, bearing witness to the skilful and discreet use of wood.
Taste experience
Its taste scores with refreshing acidity and a salty touch that invigorates. The fruit notes are lighter and feminine, almost crystal clear. A Pinot Noir that harmonises equally well with fine dishes and traditional French cuisine. A formidable start to the impressive range of Pinot Noir from Jacky and Maurice.
Serving suggestion
Enjoy this wine slightly chilled from a Burgundy glass.
Alternative culinary companions
Try this Pinot Noir with a lukewarm salad of roasted beetroot and Beluga lentils. It also harmonises excellently with lightly smoked sweetbreads, accompanied by a raspberry vinegar jus. Or how about a hearty pot-au-feu of rabbit, complemented by savoy cabbage and porcini mushrooms?
