Color
Pale yellow with silver reflections.
Nose
In the nose delicate fruit, fresh yellow apple, possibly pear, then herbaceous vegetal aromas of rocket and green almonds. Wet street after a summer rain, lemon balm and nutshells as well as some reductive notes paired with ethereal components.
Mouth
The wine is amazingly full-bodied and above all spicy. The body is incredibly dense, it virtually vibrates in the mouth. This Pinot Gris is obviously not about fruit, but about spice and complexity, about a haptically experienced mouthfeel. Aromas of spice, mace and allspice mingle with quiet fruit flavors of apple skin. Despite its power, the wine has a measured solidity that makes it seem very gentle. A wine with a chalky cool finish, structurally extremely interesting.
