Color
Sparkling golden yellow.
Nose
The 2011 Pinot Gris Cuvée Sainte Catherine impresses freshly opened with an intense spiciness that reminds of walnuts, earth, cardamom and cedar wood. Fruity aromas reminiscent of quince, mango, orange and apricots are also nicely evident, as well as sweet hints of acacia honey and beeswax.
Palate
On the palate, the 2011 Pinot Gris Cuvée Sainte Catherine presents juicy, sweet fruit and a stimulating and spicy spice note, as well as a playful acidity that is pleasantly embedded in the charming fruit melt. Delicate bitter notes in the reverberation lend something stimulating, with some maturity it will develop its complexity still very nicely.
Recommendation
Decant if possible and serve in a sufficiently large glass.
