Color
Dense, golden yellow with amber reflections.
Nose
The 2002 Pinot Gris VT "Clos Windsbuhl" impresses on the nose with the opulent fruit of dried apricots, orange jam and caramelized pineapple.
In addition, there is a multi-layered aroma, reminiscent of candied ginger, acacia honey and pickled; sweet poppy seeds, accompanied by an earthy and mineral depth.
Palate
On the palate, the 2002 Pinot Gris VT "Clos Windsbuhl" presents itself as a sweet elixir, which is given an invigorating freshness by the acidity and its earthy; mineral character. Particularly exciting is the fact that, despite the advanced maturity, this all reveals itself to the taster only after 2 days of opening.
Here is a still youthful long distance runner in the glass!
