When the coveted "Le Tri" stamp from Domaine Albert Mann is emblazoned on a wine bottle, it promises an exciting taste experience.

Color
A sparkling, radiant golden play of colours unfolds in the glass.

Scent
The 2001 Tokay Pinot Gris Sélection de Grains Nobles Altenbourg "Le Tri" presents itself on the nose like the quintessence of an outstanding dessert wine. Notes of liquid honey, candied quince, caramelised pears, dried apple rings, white nougat and bourbon vanilla flow enticingly from the glass.

Taste
The sweet fruit aromas are immediately present at the first sip of the 2001 Tokay Pinot Gris Sélection de Grains Nobles Altenbourg "Le Tri", accompanied by a concentrated and complex sweetness. A hint of salty minerality and a filigree acidity accompany the taste experience. The finish seems almost eternal.

Altenbourg
The gently rising vineyard near the village of Kientzheim is perched between 225 and 250 metres above sea level, directly below the Grand Cru Furstentum. The soils here are strongly characterised by limestone and sedimentary deposits, but with a significantly higher proportion of sand. An ideal place especially for Gewürztraminer and Pinot Gris, which slowly ripen to perfection here and often prove to be perfect candidates for Vendages Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles.

Food recommendations
A delight with foie gras terrines with a pinch of coarse-grained sea salt and toasted farmhouse bread. A combination with Fourme d'Ambert and caramelised pears offers a congenial duet. Equally fitting: a chocolate terrine with quince compote.
