Out of stock

Already in the nose, the aromas intertwine perfectly, chalky intensity mixes with fine quince and pear fruit as well as citrus and a fine and unobtrusive toast note. Juicy is also the credo on the tongue, smooth and dense it glides along and tickles with racy acidity and pointed saltiness.

Info about the wine

The Pinot blanc, named after Carolin and Oliver's son Louis, is a selection from old vines. The wines from the Hohen-Sülzer vineyards are a tribute to the Wonnegau home of H.O. Spanier. The Pliocene soils are extremely calcareous and due to the Hohen-Sülzer Kessellage, the daytime temperatures are always a little higher than in the sites in Mölsheim or Flörsheim.

Hohen-Sülzen is located in the so-called Eisbachtal; and as the name suggests, the cold low mountain stream that rises in the Donnersberg massif exerts a considerable influence on the cooler nights. The difference between day and night temperatures is higher in Hohen-Sülzen than in the other districts. As a result, the wines retain their freshness and elegance and their nervy acidity despite the high grape ripeness.

Info about the expansion

Fermented spontaneously in French Tonneaux .

Color

Iridescent and elegant light golden yellow.

Nose

The 2019 Pinot Blanc Louis VDP Ortswein is a coherent and complex wine with beautiful charisma. Already in the nose, the aromas intertwine perfectly, chalky intensity mixes with fine quince and pear fruit as well as citrus and a fine and unobtrusive toast note. The more oxygen it receives, the juicier the extremely animating nose appears.

Palate

Juicy is also the credo on the tongue, smooth and dense it glides along this and tickles with racy acidity and pointed saltiness. Its fine tannin structure in combination not only stimulates the appetite, but also the taster to empty the bottle quickly. Top substance with grandiose charisma for little money!

Decant if possible and enjoy not too cold from large glasses.
