Information on the PetNat
This unique PetNat builds 100 % on the Chenin Blanc grape, which finds its way through stony soil, green and purple shale, quartz and volcanic rocks. Harvested between 28 and 29 September, it was bottled on 28 October, without any dosage.
Appearance
It sparkles in the glass with a pale golden yellow, suffused with vibrant green reflections and a subtle, finely chiselled perlage.
Smell
At first sniff, the PetNat de Liv unfolds its promise of unbridled drinking pleasure. Smells of juicy pear, crisp apple and exquisite quince dance through the air with fresh citrus aromas and pair with the essence of a flowering meadow in bloom, yeasty undertones and a hint of dried pastry. A subtle mineral marking hovers in the background, present throughout.
Taste
On the palate, it proves to be a source of refreshment, rich in juicy fruits and delicately sparkling carbonic acid. It keeps its mineral promise and turns out to be the ultimate mood lifter, ideal for warm days and social gatherings where more than one bottle is sure to be drunk!
Alternative food recommendations
Try crostini topped with pearl mozzarella and sun-ripened tomatoes. Chicken breast stuffed with peaches, pistachios and feta cheese served with rustic bread is also a great choice. For a cool touch, a refreshing cucumber soup with prawns and fresh marjoram would be an ideal addition.
