Color
In shining golden yellow with discreet silvery reflexes the wine shows itself clearly and brilliantly in the glass.
Nose
A fragrance that unfolds and presents itself like a dawn rising from the morning mist, promising a brilliantly clear day. Yellow-fleshed fruit like mealy apple and Galia melon meet in the boughs of cassis and blackberry bushes. Hints of licorice, menthol and honeybush tea add depth while maintaining a floating freshness.
Palate
The 2015 Pernand-Vergelesses Les Combottes arrives on the palate with the tension of a cheetah setting off at a sprint. Full and powerful, yet full of vitality, this Burgundy from Clos du Moulin aux Moines fills the mouth. With delicate, yet grippy tannins and stimulating acidity, it is already a full drinking pleasure, but this long-distance runner will only reach its full-grown greatness in a few years.
Food recommendations from Peter Müller
