Color
Translucent cherry red, slightly cloudy with lightening towards the rim.
Nose
The 2021 Matassa Olla Rouge shows something wild and primal and at the same time something incredibly charming on the nose. Aromas of sour cherries, cassis, cranberries and fig mingle with elderberry and black olive. Hints of incense, cloves, roses and violets give it something almost mystical.
Palate
Pure freshness on the tongue, its acidity is spectacularly animating, the fruit extremely beguiling and the sensationally low alcohol makes for pure drinking pleasure. It is best enjoyed chilled with the aromatic cuisine of the south of France.
