Nose
The Sauvignon Blanc from the Rebholz winery is a wine of great clarity and precision as well as expressiveness. It seems expressive and loud, but not shrill. It smells of gooseberries, bergamot and white currants, limes and nettles as well as grated lime.
Palate
On the palate, the wine is immensely drinkable in its combination of astonishingly ripe fruit at 11.5 % alcohol, a precise acid structure and a subtle flash of fruit sweetness that is more evident than in previous vintages. At the same time the sauvignon blanc with wild movements across the palate. There is again a lot of cassis, lime and blackberry leaves, some salt and a light tannin that provides a pleasant texture.
