Wine information
The Odyssée is a pure Pinot Noir from Guillaume Sorbe. The fruit comes from plots in Reuilly with vines on predominantly clayey-limestone soils, but also on soils with pebbles and red sand. The Pinot was produced from whole clusters in spontaneous fermentation with minimal extraction and aged for three years in used 400 and 600 litre barrels. Since the 2018 vintage, the Odyssée as Vin de France declared.

Nose
Guillaume Sorbes Odyssée is a delicate, fresh, at the same time powerful and elegant Pinot Noir. This is already evident on the dark-fruited, inviting nose, which is characterised by skilful use of wood. Rose petals, some violets, many red and dark berries and ripe cherries combine with some undergrowth, vanilla and yeast plait.
Palate
On the palate, the Pinot Noir is juicy and silky with delicate red fruits, a crisp, fresh tannin and acid structure, joined by dark berries, some smoke and spices with increasing warmth and air, while the tannin becomes increasingly fine and the Odyssée thus becoming increasingly silky and sensual. An extremely strong performance for a Pinot Noir from this region.
