Color
The wine shows itself in bright golden yellow clear and shiny in the glass.
Nose
With its first bouquet, this one hundred percent Xarol-lo simply makes a clear announcement Open and/or carafe in good time before enjoying.
After some time, the wine gives insight into its nature and leads through the herb garden of itself. Watercress and nasturtium as well as lemon balm, tarragon and borage shine in rich green and with ethereal spiciness. Alongside delicate smokiness from toasted and candied fennel seeds, ripe yet precise fruit emerges in the form of Galia melon, Sharon fruit and papaya.
Palate
On the palate, the yellow, ripe fruit of the 2018 NUN Vinya dels Taus by Enric Soler intensifies, leaving the, almost furry, tingling sensation of a fully ripe, juicy mango. In radiant contrast to the stout and spicy, smoky nose of the Xarol-los, it presents as fruit-laden and benevolent in the drink. With a long fading echo, this wine proudly and in canon shows the potential that lies in this grape variety.
NUN Pleased.
