Only after some time does a silhouette-like image of yellow, mealy apple, dried apricot and acacia blossom honey emerge on the wall of red sandstone and primary rock. With all the gallant fruit that the high nobility of Riesling brings with it, one senses instantly that this one is not afraid to get its fingers dirty in a well-groomed way, - In this case, one can confidently speak of a stony finish, with no hand held out.

Color

The wine shows itself in pure gold clear and shiny in the glass.

Nose

When the Steinriesler wanders up the cellar stairs after twelve years of dark seclusion and silence, his eyes first have to get used to the light again and his ears first have to get used to the sounds of everyday life. He looks forward to this...

This wine needs a decanter, time, air, patience and an appropriately sized wine glass.

Only after some time does a silhouette-like image of yellow, mealy apple, dried apricot and acacia blossom honey emerge on the wall of red sandstone and primary rock. Sparse and focused on the essence of its origins, this Riesling is terroir wine through and through and a reflection of its origins.

Palate

The palate confidently confirms what the nose of the 2007 Steinriesler Riesling from the Saah family promised. Not only has it found its center in the course of the past decade and thus a peace within itself, from which it draws all its strength;

Furthermore, nothing is unmistakably more important to him than to do justice to the place from which he has sprung. With all the gallant fruit that the high nobility of Riesling brings with it, one senses instantly that this one is not afraid to get its fingers dirty,

In this case, with no hand held out, one may confidently speak of a stony reverberation.

Solid Rock. And Roll.
