Color
Bright, radiant golden yellow with green reflexes.
Nose
The 2019 Gelber Muskateller reveals itself to the taster elegant and fragrant, outlined by fine yeasty notes and hints of fresh grape mash. It quickly becomes clear this wine needs time and the decanter. Then fragrant aromas of grapefruit, orange, orange peel and fresh and dried apricot pour from the glass. Interwoven with lemongrass, chamomile, coriander and mustard flour. A carpet of intense minerality and spiciness captures everything concisely - exciting, really extremely exciting.
Palate
On the tongue, it is the freshness and saltiness that grabs you. In combination with the yellow-fleshed and floral aromas, this has an extremely animating, even seductive effect. This wine is a real stunner, fragrant yes, but with depth and substance. A very good food companion in combination with creative cuisine.
