Info about the wine:
This wine is currently still a local wine, which is why the label also says Neustadt "V" Riesling, it is actually the Erste Lage Vogelsang, which lies at an altitude of 240 metres, the 35 to 40 year old vines stand on shell limestone.
Info About the expansion:
Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel with long full yeast ageing.
Color:
Bright, sparkling golden yellow with clear green reflections.
Nose:
Beautifully juicy, the 2019 Neustadt V.Riesling shows apricots, oranges, sugared grapefruit, ginger and summer flowers on the nose. Underneath lies the tightly meshed shell limestone terroir that expresses itself in subtle smoky and stony notes.
Palate:
Characterized by a fine tartness, reminiscent of grapefruit, and by an extremely refreshing acidity, which is beautifully embedded in the charming, yellow fruit, it flows over the tongue in an animating and juicy way. A beautiful wine that is on par with a Grosses Gewächs. Spectacular price/value ratio!
It can be enjoyed wonderfully in its youthful stage, preferably not too cold from a large Burgundy glass.
